Objective:
The objective of this assignment is to prepare students to familiar with concepts of latches, flip flops and their applications. Furthermore it will enhance one’s ability to differentiate the operations of different types of flip flops.
Question No: 1
For the positive Edge- Triggered J-K flip flop with preset and clear inputs as shown in figure (a) below. Determine the Q outputs for the inputs shown in timing diagram (b) if Q is initially low. Marks 10

Counting numbers is one of the applications of flip-flops. Determine the output waveforms in relation to QA, QB and QC in the counter circuit given in figure below. Also show the binary sequence represented by these waveforms. (Marks 7+3)
