Suppose you are appointed as a Network manager in ABC Insurance Company. Your first task is to analysis the security measures for software and data management. You are required to suggest at least five security measures that should be implemented for the company.

Consider an accounting system for an XYZ organization. As the system maintains the accounts of the company, therefore it should be highly secure. Different measures have been taken to implement the security and one is to maintain a detailed log of each activity performed by the user.

Suggest the structure (schema) of this log i.e. the information contained in the log and the exact field names that will be used to store this information. (You are required to give information about each field in one or two lines).

As an IT consultant I have suggest that Distributed Computing environment will serve better for this company. Distributed Computing (DC) This is the more widely used computing configuration, because it has grown out of what most users  and many IT people were used to, within the comfort zone of their home PCs.  As a result, there has been extensive development of many business practices, systems and security products to help the distributed system fully function in a business environment. This environment is an ad-hoc network that is generally grown from a small group of independent computers that need to share files, resources such as printers and network/internet connections.  These have allowed small business to improve some forms of productivity. Each user has control of their own equipment, to a reasonable degree. Each user can add their own programs at their own leisure.  Sometimes cheaper up front capital cost.

Question 1: (10 Marks)

Draw a flow chart to illustrate the following functionality of Temperature analyzer in Air conditioner.

• Input the Temperature
• If temperature is below 26 degrees then print the message “It is not very hot” and after displaying this message turn off the compressor.
• If temperature is above 26 degrees then print the message “It is Hot” and after displaying this message turn on the compressor.

Consider a super store having several branches and each branch having registered customers. Draw an Entity Relationship Diagram to show primary relationship between registered customers and branch of the super store.
